The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a prominent national-level entrance exam administered by the All-India Management Association (AIMA), serving as a gateway for aspiring candidates seeking admission to MBA/PGDM courses at over 800 B-schools across India. This comprehensive examination is conducted in four phases throughout the year, namely in February, May, September, and December.

Applicants are allowed to attempt MAT in multiple sessions, opting for the mode that suits them best. Notably, each attempt requires a separate registration. The scores from the most recent MAT test will be considered during the admission process, ensuring that candidates can showcase their improved performance if they choose to retake the exam. This flexibility underscores MAT’s commitment to providing a fair and accessible platform for candidates to demonstrate their aptitude and secure admission to esteemed management programs across the nation.
