  • Minimum Marks: Some states require a minimum of 50-55% in the qualifying degree.

  • Language Subjects: Hindi, English, Urdu, Bangla, Sanskrit, Maithili, Magahi, Arabic, Persian, Bhojpuri, Pali, Prakrit
  • Core Subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology

Exam pattern for the STET exam

Candidates need to choose a specific subject listed in Paper 1 or Paper 2. Additionally, they must meet the eligibility criteria for the subject they have chosen. There will be a 50-mark section on general knowledge (GK) and reasoning in addition to the specific subject.

  • Duration: The exam lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Specific Subjects: 100 marks for the subject you want to teach.
  • Teaching Ability and General Knowledge (GK, Reasoning): 50 marks to test your teaching skills and general knowledge.
  • Total Marks: The exam has a total of 150 marks.
