NTA Postpones CUET UG 2024 Exam in Delhi: Know The Reason Here!

NTA Postpones CUET UG 2024 Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the postponement of the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET UG) 2024 in Delhi, citing “manpower issues.” Originally scheduled for May 15, 2024, the exam will now take place on May 29, 2024, exclusively for candidates in Delhi. The affected test papers include Chemistry (306), Biology (304), English (101), and the General Test (501).

In an official notice, the NTA stated that the postponement was necessary due to challenges in securing an adequate number of invigilators, particularly because of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. CUET UG is a large-scale examination, requiring substantial manpower and coordination. However, the logistical difficulties faced in Delhi necessitated rescheduling the exam to ensure a smooth and fair testing process.

Candidates who were slated to appear for the CUET UG exam in Delhi on May 15 are advised to take note of the new date, May 29, and await the issuance of revised admit cards reflecting the updated schedule. The NTA emphasized that exams scheduled for May 15 in other cities across India and abroad, including Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida, will proceed as previously planned.

Moreover, examinations scheduled for subsequent dates, such as May 16, 17, and 18, will also proceed as scheduled at all centers, including those in Delhi. The NTA is committed to maintaining the integrity and fairness of the examination process, ensuring that candidates receive equal opportunities regardless of location or unforeseen circumstances.

Candidates are urged to download their CUET UG 2024 admit cards from the official website (exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/) after May 14, following an earlier notice advising them to do so only after that date to accommodate any administrative changes in examination centers.

CUET UG 2024 is a significant academic event, with approximately 13.48 lakh candidates expected to participate across multiple exam centers in 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India. The exams between May 15 and 18 will be conducted in a pen-paper mode, while those scheduled until May 24 will be administered online, providing candidates with a diverse testing experience.

For further inquiries or details regarding CUET UG 2024, candidates may contact the NTA at 011-40759000 or 011-69227700 or via email at [email protected]. The NTA remains dedicated to facilitating a smooth and fair examination process for all candidates, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout.
