Before registering for GMAT, candidates should know the minimum eligibility criteria required for the GMAT. The following criteria are required for GMAT eligibility.

Quite a few top business schools in India accept the GMAT score to admit Indian students to their main MBA / PGP programs. While some are 2-year MBA/PGDM programs, others are 1-year programs.
Top MBA colleges in India that accept GMAT include IIMs, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, and many other top B-schools. If you are an Indian MBA applicant, you can use your GMAT score to apply to MBA programs in India as well as to foreign B-schools.
None of the top colleges in India consider GMAT scores for their 2-year MBA program. Most of them take entrance exams or accept scores from exams like CAT, XAT, etc. The only exception is out-of-town students who want to pursue a 2-year MBA program; GMAT scores are accepted for such students.
