B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Exam Details

The AILET 2024 for the B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program will consist of three sections with a total of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks. The exam duration is 90 minutes. The sections are as follows:

The logical reasoning section may include legal principles to assess logical aptitude, but no prior legal knowledge or technical understanding is required. Negative marking will be applied, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer. Four wrong answers will result in a deduction of 1 mark.

In case of a tie-in score, the candidate with higher marks in the logical reasoning section will be given preference. If the merit remains the same, the older candidate will be prioritized. If the tie persists, a computerized draw of lots will be conducted. Stay prepared and best of luck for AILET 2024!

LL.M (One Year) Programme – Exam Details

The modified syllabus for the AILET 2024 LL.M. Programme includes two sections. Section A consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, and candidates need to answer two descriptive questions from Section B. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes.

Section A is divided into two parts, with a total of 75 marks. Part 1 focuses on English language skills, comprising 25 questions worth 1 mark each (25 marks). Part 2 tests legal reasoning, consisting of 25 questions worth 2 marks each (50 marks). Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in each part of Section A to qualify for evaluation of Section B.

Section B contains ten questions from different branches of law. Candidates are required to answer any two descriptive questions, totaling 75 marks.
