My first interaction with Gopal occurred when he was in 9th grade, during a psychometric assessment followed by a one-on-one counseling session. He demonstrated exceptional aptitude across all assessed areas, and based on his strengths and interests, he was advised to pursue Science with PCM, targeting a career in Engineering and Defence Services. During our discussions, Gopal expressed interest in Data Science and Computer Science but lacked sufficient information about how to achieve his goals. Additionally, he and his parents were concerned about financial support for his higher education. These concerns were addressed through multiple personalized sessions with Gopal and occasional discussions with his parents. To equip him with the necessary resources, Gopal was introduced to the iDC dashboard. Through this platform and personalized guidance, he gained valuable insights into various courses, colleges, entrance exams, and scholarship opportunities. The iDC dashboard played a pivotal role in shaping his preparation for the future. He frequently explored the platform’s extensive information and utilized the chat option to seek additional guidance from me as his counselor. Once Gopal had clarity about his career goals, he began rigorous preparation for entrance exams from 11th grade onward. His dedication and hard work paid off when he successfully cleared several entrance exams and secured admission to Atria University. The course offered aligned perfectly with his aspirations. To address his financial concerns, he was guided to various scholarship platforms designed for deserving students from underprivileged backgrounds. Ultimately, Gopal was connected with a suitable scholarship program, enabling him to pursue his professional course with a 100% scholarship. Gopal’s achievements have brought immense pride and joy to his family and have made him a source of inspiration for his school juniors and other bright students in his village. Given his interest in sports and his aspiration to join the Defence Forces, Gopal was also guided on pathways to achieve this goal. He plans to appear for the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE) after completing his B.Tech degree, keeping this ambition alive.
