Career as a Dialysis Technologist
Dialysis Technologists monitor & operate dialysis machine, which removes waste and excess fluids from the blood of patients whose kidneys are no longer functioning properly or satisfactorily. They generally work under a physician or nurse's supervision, usually in a hospital, clinic or at a home-dialysis program. Dialysis Technologists deliver & perform dialysis therapy according to the supervising physician’s prescribed dialysis care regimen for a patient. This includes tasks involving patient care during the therapy such as monitoring the emotional, physical, physiological & chemical condition of the patient, ensuring the stability of the patient through proper techniques.
