Fishermen and women use nets, fishing rods, traps, or other equipment to catch and gather fish or other aquatic animals from rivers, lakes, or oceans for human consumption. They use various types of boats or fishing vessels to catch and gather fish. They are also involved in fish processing. Fishery workers work in farms where various types of fish such as prawns, tilapia, carps, salmon, cod and catfish are bred and cultivated. They are also involved in descaling of fish, cleaning, cutting, freezing, packaging, etc.
