The NEET UG results for the year 2024 will be unveiled on the official website, ntaresults.nic.in, as per the notification by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The merit list will showcase the All India Rank (AIR) of the candidates who have excelled in the examination.

The NTA plans to categorize the NEET UG results 2024 and publish them in PDF format on their official portal. Candidates can access their results by logging into the NTA portal. The scorecard will not only display the subject-wise marks but will also include personal information and the candidate’s AIR rank. Additionally, the NEET UG cut-off for 2024 will be released concurrently with the NTA.

Candidates must note that the validity of the NEET results for 2024 is limited to one year. This implies that the qualification certificate issued based on these results will remain valid for only one year. The provisional answer key provided a platform for candidates to dispute any discrepancies they identified in the NTA’s answers, ensuring a fair and transparent evaluation process.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) NEET UG, formerly known as the AIPMT, is an all-India pre-medical entrance test for pursuing undergraduate medical courses (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, & BHMS courses). 

Highlights of NEET UG Result 2024

  1. NEET 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is scheduled for May 5, 2024.
  2. The NEET 2024 result is expected to be declared in June 2024, a few days after the conclusion of the exam.
  3. Candidates can check their results on the official websites: neet.nta.nic.in, ntaresults.nic.in, and nta.ac.in.
  4. Registered candidates, numbering over 20 lakh, will receive their NEET 2024 scorecards via email, in addition to being available for download on the official website.
  5. The scorecard includes personal details, NTA NEET 2024 qualifying marks, total marks, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, 15% All India Quota (AIQ) rank, and more.
  6. Alongside individual scores, the NEET result 2024 specifies the qualifying cutoff scores for General, SC, ST, and OBC aspirants.
  7. Candidates have up to 90 days from the result date to download their scorecards from neet.nta.nic.in.
  8. To access their NEET UG result 2024, candidates need to log in with their roll number, date of birth, and security pin.
  9. The scorecard provides information such as name, subject-wise and total marks, percentile scores, AIR for 15% AIQ seats, and the cutoff score.
  10. The NEET 2024 result date and time are officially announced by the National Testing Agency.

How to check the NEET Entrance exam result?

The result will be announced in June 2024. Candidates need to follow the following steps to check their NEET UG Result. It is advised to keep a regular check on the official website for NEET UG Result 2024 live updates.

NEET 2024 scorecards

The NEET UG 2024 Scoreboard will show the candidate’s personal details, subject marks, total marks, rank, and All India Quota (AIQ) percentile. Along with the results, NTA will also release the NEET 2024 final answer key on the official website. The final answer key released by NTA for NEET 2024 will be available in PDF format and cannot be contested.

This year the biggest medical UG entrance exam is expected to be conducted in May 2024.

List of NEET 2023 toppers

Out of the total registered candidates, 20,87,462 individuals applied for the exam. Among them, 2038596 candidates appeared for the NEET 2023 exam.

If we talk about the gender-wise distribution – 9,02,936 male candidates registered, with 8,81,967 of them appeared for the exam. Out of the male candidates who appeared, 4,90,374 qualified.

On the other hand, 11,84,513 female candidates registered, and 11,56,618 of them appeared for the exam. Among the female candidates who appeared, 6,55,599 were able to qualify.

Additionally, a small number of transgender individuals also participated, with 13 registering and 11 appearing for the exam. Out of these transgender candidates, 3 qualified.

In total, 11,45,984 candidates qualified for the NEET examination.

How to calculate the NEET percentile?

Students can calculate through the following 2 ways

  1. NEET percentile = your NEET score * 100 / topper’s NEET score
  2. NEET percentile = [(total number of candidates appeared in NEET rank) / total no. of appearing candidates] x 100

Although the second method is a bit difficult.

Types of Merit List

Following are the 3 types of merit lists for NEET UG result 2024:

  1. General Merit List: This merit list includes the names and ranks of all the candidates who appeared in NEET 2024. This is the first merit list prepared by NTA. This merit list will be sent to all counseling bodies, both national and state.
  2. 15 Percent AIQ Merit List: This merit list will contain the names of only those candidates who qualify for the NEET 2024. This merit list is prepared by the Medical Consultative Committee (MCC).
  3. State Quota Merit List: Each state will prepare its merit lists for admission to 85 percent of state quota seats. These merit lists will include only those candidates who qualify for the NEET Result 2024 and register for the respective state counseling.

NEET Result 2024 Validity

The NEET 2024 results will be valid for one year or the current academic season 2024-2025. However, the MCI (Medical Council of India) has made an official announcement to extend the validity of NEET to three years for admissions in foreign colleges due to the possibility that the admission process in international schools will take longer.
